Barite on copper

The barite crystal is on a matrix of native copper. Hence, this is a rare association piece. This type of association is documented in the mineralogical literature. Under the microscope, it can be seen that one a copper spinal twin includes the barite crystal. The inclusion is continuous with part of the spinal twin outside the barite crystal.
