description: LOCALITY: Rogerley Mine, County Durham, England 7 1/4" across The fluorite crystals are of moderate size for the locality. The color is appealing and this piece displays daytime fluorescence even when viewed through a glass hotel windowpane in the late afternoon. The crystal faces are almost as lustrous as polished glass and are generally pristine on the edges and vertices. In my view, this piece is much nicer in person. It is difficult to convey three dimensional character of this piece in a photo although the color is reasonably well represented.
