Calcite, Dal'negorsk, Russia; 4" long

Calcite is the mineral species that has the greatest diversity of crystal forms. This rare and highly unusual type of calcite crystal twin was only ever available in small numbers during a brief "flash in the pan" of production in the late 1980's.
