Calcite, Elmwood Mine, Tennessee

The calcite twin measures 4 3/8" from tip to tip. The Elmwood Mine is arguably the world's greatest calcite locality. Most Elmwood calcite crystals in collections were mined during the 1980's although a smaller number of fine pieces were produced in later history. This fine piece was formerly in the renowned collections of Keith Proctor and Dr Stephen Neely.
