Fluorite with minor arsenopyrite
description:
LOCALITY: Yaoganxian Mine, Hunan Province, China

c. 4" across

This fine fluorite specimen consists of cubic fluorite crystals that have grown on top of each other. This piece can be displayed either as shown (i.e. a "plan view" of the piece) or from the the front and reverse sides of the piece. A 360 degree inspection of this piece reveals that is it not damaged on the front, back, sides or top. The fluorite is pale-blue in color but with some purple inside the specimen. Of course, the luster of the fluorite crystal faces is also high.

I bought this piece from Sam Yung during a visit to Hong Kong in early 2016.

Photo by Matthew Webb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
