Crocoite, Adelaide Mine, Tasmania; 8" ac

Dundas, Tasmania is the world's most important crocoite locality. Tasmanian crocoite was mined for its lead content in the 19th century. Today, crocoite producing mines are only mined for fine mineral specimens. I am not buying crocoite at the moment since I would rather wait a few more years when it becomes even more abundant and also relatively inexpensive.
