Cuprosklodowskite, Katanga; 7" ac

Cuprosklodowskite is a rare copper and uranium bearing silicate species that reached its ultimate development at The Musonoi Mine.  This famoius mineral specimen locality that also produced some of the world's greatest torbernite specimens is around 50 km by road from Kolwezi.  Cuprosklodowskite was named in honour of Marie Sklodowska Curie.  This piece was formerly in the collection of Marc P Weill.  He is a famous banker.
