description: LOCALITY: Hubei Province, China (TUC) 6" across Ex Professor Stephen Smale collection This piece was traded from Steve Smale in October 2010. At the time it was traded, it was one of his top five pieces. The piece consist of lustrous, gemmy, bright yellow crystals on a thin slither of contrasting black earthy matrix. One of the faces on one of the crystals on an end of the specimen is a cleavage face. Despite this, the general quality of this piece is very high. More extensive locality details on this piece are still pending and will be appear shortly. I believe this piece was removed from a coal mine.
