Molybdenite, Wolfram Camp, Queensland; 2 1/2" Ac

This is one of the finest specimens of molybdenite in existence. Kingsgate, New South Wales is another one of the world's top two localities for crystallized molybdenite. Molybdenite rarely occurs as sharp crystals. The crystal edges on this piece are so sharp that the specimen could easily be mistaken for a European iron rose.
