Chrysocolla after azurite or gypsum
description:
LOCALITY: Ray Mine, Pinal County, Arizona, United States

2 1/2" across

The Ray Mine, Arizona produces the finest examples of this type of pseudomorph. It is unknown whether the replaced species is azurite or gypsum. This fine piece was acquired via a trade with Kevin Ward at the Tucson Show in 2006 or 2007. It was then bartered out to Andy Seibel who sold it via his website at www.andyseibel.com.
