Pyrolusite after manganite, Iron Knob

This specimen consist of pyrolusite pseudomorphs after manganite. Few localies around the world have produced this type of pseudomorph. It is from Iron Knob, near Iron Monarch, South Australia. It is large than most other types of pseudomophs found at this locality. Unlike most of the others, this one is free of detracting matrix.
