Pyromorphite

LOCALITY: Daoping Mine, Guilin Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China

2 1/4" across

This piece is a small but fine group of pyromorphite crystals from what is surely one of the world's greatest localities for this much sought after species. The color of this specimen is the best that one could ask for on a Daoping Mine pyromorphite specimen. All of the many crystal terminations are in perfect condition.

This piece was bought from Gene Schlepp during a visit to his home in Tucson, Arizona in February 2001.
