Saleeite
description: LOCALITY: Ranger Mine, near Jabiru, Northern Territory, Australia 2" across Ex Jeff Rondello collection The crystals of saleeite are sharp, greenish-yellow and display a pleasing contrast with the matrix in terms of color, luster and texture. This is a very esthetic miniature. A small number of much larger saleeite specimens were mined during the 1980's and in around 1998 but few were preserved in private collections. Personnel from the Museum of Victoria, Melbourne field collected a few good pieces in the late 1990's.
