Silver, Imitar Mine, Morocco; 3" across

Is this fake or real? Most crystalline chemical compounds that occur in nature can be created in the laboratory and eye visible crystals of them can be made. Macroscopic "native wire silver specimens" have in fact been created in simple labs and these manufactured articles resemble this piece in general appearance. The author also knows of no photos of Imitar wire silver in situ. Despite the concerns about the authenticity of all Imitar mine native silver, the author believes that fine specimens of acanthite (silver sulfide) from Imitar are naturally occurring.
