description: 3 1/4" ac. Ex South Australian Museum collection. This was one of the first fine mineral specimens that I ever bought. I bought it from Anne McDonald of Frankston Lapidary Supplies at the Waverley Gem Club Show in 1989 for $800. At this time, this was a lot of money for me. I still have memory of draining my bank account so I could buy this piece. I donated it to the South Australian Museum in Adelaide in 2001 under "The Taxation Incentives For The Arts Scheme." I traded it back from the Museum in 2010. It is a fine cluster of spinal twins without a minor amount of epidote rich matrix on the underside. The spinal twins are sharp with a smooth and desirable texture and a chocolate brown patina.
