Fluorite
description:
LOCALITY: Boltsburn Mine, Rookhope district, near Weardale, Durham County, England

4" on edge

This large cubic fluorite displays spectacular daytime fluorescence. It was formerly in the collection of "The Harvard Mineralogical Museum" in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Later in its history, it became part of the collection of Russell Behnke of Connecticut. He sold it to me at the Tucson Show in 2004. During a visit to New York city in March 2012, Russell and I met in a New York city motel room. At this time, I traded this fluorite out of my collection and back to Russell.
