Chrysocolla after azurite with wulfenite
description:
LOCALITY: Whim Well Mine, Whim Creek, Western Australia (state), Australia

3" across

This Whim Creek piece is particularly fine since it is reasonably colorful, free from damage and not on an "oversized matrix." The pseudomorphous chrysocolla is also shaped like a frog. I donated this piece to "The South Australian Museum" in 2002. The museum traded it out of the mineral collection and it went into Tony Tynan's trading stock. I bought it from Tony Tynan via his website in 2015.

Photo by Matthew Webb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
